CLOP G CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol and Gentamicin which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotics respectively. It is used to manage bacterial infections and inflammations of the skin.

During the management your doctor might regularly examine your skin to avoid any untoward side effects.

Avoid smoking while using CLOP G CREAM. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

CLOP G CREAM is not recommended for use in children (ages less than 1 year). Before using CLOP G CREAM, inform your doctor if you have skin conditions like fungal infections, severe flushing on and around your nose, spotty red rash around your mouth, infected or itchy skin around the genitals.

CLOP G CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant women. CLOP G CREAM is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.

The most common side effects of using CLOP G CREAM are burning, pain, irritation or itching where the medicine is applied. Contact your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

HOW CLOP G CREAM WORKS

CLOP G CREAM manages affected skin where Clobetasol induces certain proteins (lipocortins), that control the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thus reducing inflammation, and Gentamicin binds to 30s ribosomal subunit, disrupting mRNA translation, resulting in the formation of shortened or non-functional proteins.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply CLOP G CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area of the skin and rub it gently. Avoid contact with eyes. Your doctor will decide the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of infection.
